The main characters is Felix Knudson, and his mom is named Astrid Knudson.
He and his mom moved from place to place and now lives in a van.
The story talks about how his mom try to find a decent job to get a house while Felix goes to school. At the school, Felix meets his old friend from elementary school, Dylan, and a girl named Winnie. The three friends love to play "Who, What, Where, When, Why." on TV and audition for the kids show. When Felix finds out he made it onto the show, and realizes there is prize money and does the math. He and his mom can get an apartment for three months. Eventually, he makes it onto the show and get to live in a fancy hotel for a week. He and some other kids go on TV the first day and Felix wins! The exiting part is when Felix wins the whole competition! But when the host explains that he gets the money when he's eighteen. This book is filled with so many emotions. I would recommend this book to someone who wants to know how it feels to be home less.
