Liar and Spy By Rebecca Stead Reviewed by Apollin

This book is about a boy named Georges, Georges' dad signs him up for somethings called spy camp, where he meets a boy named Safer in spy camp, they are working on uncovering a likely spy named Mr.X in there building. From the middle school pillar perspective,  I think that Georges showed the most was courage. Firstly when Safer told Georges he had to put a  gum wrapper on Mr.X's apartment so they knew when  Mr.X was in his house or not Georges was afraid that he would get caught but, he still did it. Secondly, when Georges was the captain of the capture of the flag team he chooses the kids that aren't necessarily great at capture the flag and, is getting bullied or the other kids don't like them. Georges forms a group called the red group from his capture the flag team and they all have a red dot on their hand so when one member of the group gets made fun of or bullied the others will stand up for that member. I give this a four out of five because it was a great book but, some of the parts, in the beginning, were a bit confusing.
