The spy in the house Reviewed by Dheen Tatra


Mary, the main character in the book, was supposed to get hanged for stealing things from other people in 
Victorian England times because she did not have money or food and she had to survive by stealing and picking locks and getting into things. When she was about to get hanged when an older mature lady saw her and offered her to come to Ms. Scrimshaws Academy for girls boarding school. During her time there she learns how to become a lady. After a couple of years at the school Mary turns seventeen and gets offered a job to become part of the schools top secret spy Agency for girls because of her background of picking locks and breaking into places. Mary takes the offer and does a bit of training. Her first assignment is to spy on the Thoralds house by becoming one of the maids there and looking at Mr. Thoralds illegal trades by breaking into his warehouse and looking for clues.
