Ember is a city built by the builders as a refuge for humans. Lina and her friend Doon discover that the city lights aren't functioning correctly, and supplies are running out. They need to find another place for the citizens of Ember to live before it is too late! I think the middle school pillar that Lina should the most is service because she is trying to find a place where no one has ever been. The people of Ember don't know that food and electricity is running out. I give this book 4 out of 5 because it was an exciting and fun book to read.
