Popular Reviewed by Larisse

For most of Maya Van Wagenen's life, she was stuck at the very bottom of the social ladder and was possibly the most unpopular that one could be. Going into eighth grade, she decided that it was time for a change and embarked on a grand experiment with only a book from the 1950s to guide her. Betty Cornell's Teenage popularity guide (found gathering dust in her dad's office) was full of tips and information on how to achieve the unachievable. Read how Maya faces her challenges, builds self-confidence, and finds the real definition of what being popular is. I think this book represents the pillar courage because of how Maya puts herself out there and doesn't care about what others think. This book was super funny and I would definitely recommend it. 5/5 stars.
